photographers suck.

I don't usually attend marriages or some functions where people gather around, shoot questions, pull legs and things of that sort. I don't like going to temples also. Not because I hate Gods, but I hate crowd. I'm sick of it.

I have got reasons for hating marriage functions. I hate people who just come to 'EAT'. However, there are situations where you can't skip a function like that. For example, your own marriage. You cant let someone else take your place for the reason that you hate crowds.

Lately, I attended one of my cousin's marriage. And now I bagged one more reason. And that would be Photographers! Fuck them, you see. They don't let people see the ceremony. Below is a picture I took. Tell me if you can actually see the couples other than some stupid people holding their cameras? (Oops. I understand you can only see some people standing on the stage. Sorry, I had it exaggerated :D)

I decided. I wont let even a single cameraman inside, for my marriage (Of course if I happen to marry). I will ask my cousins to take some snaps. After all what are we going to do with the albums spending thousands?

Do I have a point, dears?

where the heck is venus?

'Venus is in 7th column. Sun is in 4th column and Jupiter is in the 9th column. See, 1st column, 2nd column and these columns are all left blank. No...We cant take this horoscope, no matter how good the girl is!' they exclaimed.

I'm sure by the time I get married, I will get to learn astrology. Now I can understand how our great-elders talk astrology when it comes to a marriage. I'm surprised when I find myself looking at the horoscopes and checking for 'paapam' (technical words - cant help it :D).

I don't understand how these planets, so very millions of kilometers away from earth, affect a living being living on earth. Worst case - how it affects only those who live in India? :O

'Why are you in such a hurry to get married, Son? You will regret once you get married.' my father said winking at me and giving a I-dint-say-anything look at mom.

As a matter of fact, I'm not in a hurry to get married. I'm just 26. But I get fed up when they look at these horoscopes and reject saying Venus is in the 7th / 8th column (Chovva Dosham - technical term :D). Chovva Dosham is known to be the worst of all Doshams - God-knows-what! I keep looking for Venus when I find a horoscope. Isn't that funny? :D

I tell you, if you people go for horoscope-match, only 1 in 200 will suit yours. :P Better you find one for yourself and elope! khe khe khe...

love n' time.

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love.

Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.

When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.

Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said, "Richness, can you take me with you?"
Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you."

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "Vanity, please help me!"
"I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.

Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you."
"Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"

Happiness passed by Love too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her.

Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you." It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Realizing how much was owed the elder,

Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who Helped me?"
"It was Time," Knowledge answered.
"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"
Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is."

PS: Just a forward mail I received today.

yours forever, hopefully.

My bestest friend is gonna get married. I was just thinking how I'm gonna survive without talking to her. I have heard girls change after marriage. I hope it wont be the case with my friend. But sometimes I get so jealous over the one who is gonna marry her. I don't know. I don't want her to love someone else. I know its of no use saying. I know one day I will be out of her mind. She will start loving her husband. I dint mean to say that she will forget me, but eventually the 'love-factor' will degrade.

So, before she stops loving me, let me stop it. I wont call or message her after her marriage. Perhaps she will miss me. Let her. I'm gonna miss her too anyway.

I'm wondering how many people would be there in this world like me. But nobody can help it.

PS: I dint mean to say that people will lose their best friends after marriage. There are exceptional cases also. I just fear that I may lose her after her marriage. Its well and good if I dint. But what if i do lose her? It may take the breath out of me. I'm sure gals wouldn't need their best-friend after marriage like the way they needed him/her before marriage. This post maybe the biggest blunder I have ever written in my blog. I'm sorry. I just wanted to write this down somewhere.

so, will that help?

One of my colleague is gonna get married. Today he came to me and asked for my help.

'I don't know how to talk to girls. And I need your advice. I know you are an expert.' He said.

I was shocked to hear that. But I dint show it. ;) khe khe khe... Ok. Jokes apart. He explained the situation. He phoned his girl few days back and his call was on waiting. He tried to call her 2-3 times. But still it was on waiting and she dint bother to cut it and call him back. He, obviously, got tensed. After sometime she called him but he refused to answer. She kept calling for sometime and finally he answered.

SPLASH! THAMAAAR!! BANG!!! *he shouts, she cries blah blah blah...*

So, this is a problem with guys mainly. They get possessive very soon. In fact, guys fall in love very soon. And for that reason, they get possessive. I guess girls do like it, thought they wont expect guys to shout at them. I told this to my friend. His facial expressions clearly said he dint understand a word! I made it simple.

'Next time when you see her number busy, just tell her that her voice is so cute and he don't want others to hear her sweet voice.' I said.

PS: I've a best friend. One day she will also get married. So what if her guy asks her not to talk to me saying the same dialogue, maybe after reading my blog :O I cant stand that. Now the question is, will I ask my girl not to talk to others??? :D

PPS: I'm wondering why the hell he said I'm an expert in talking to girls. Seriously! :O :D And sorry if you people think the title, picture and the blog-post are no way related to each other (on earth) :D

yet another finding.

I had once asked in one of my blog (and God knows which blog it is) why still there are lot of arranged-marriages* happening even when I see lot of lovers around.

I found the reason.

I will tell you a story! Once there lived a guy who loved a girl. He thought they loved each other a lot and cant exist in this world without being together. They informed their parents about this and that became a serious issue. And for some reason they broke-up. Years later, this guy happened to meet some other gal and fell in love with her. He loved her so much. But, he started to thinking of the embarrassment he will have to face if he tell this to his parents cuz they already knew about his first affair. And for that reason, he sacrificed his love!

This is not the case with everyone but I'm sure those who got over the first affair would definitely hesitate at the first hand to tell their parents about their second affair. And that can be, which i suppose, would be the reason for many arranged-marriages* in this hard-to-find-single world!

*doesn't mean Love & Arranged marriages.

they just vanish. gone. kaput.

Parents search for good alliances for their sons or daughters. To make the process easy, sons and daughters love someone and introduce them to their parents. So far so good.

Parents take this to the next level. They inform the news to their relatives. Phones start ringing. Some vessels break. They shout. They say the guy is not lookin good. He is having specs. She is not having long hair. She dont wake up early in the morning etc etc etc...

They make the slightest of problems very big. We are forced to agree what they say. Parents are happy, relatives are happy. They make us spends lakhs of rupees on the wedding day. They invite 100s of people. 30k worth photo albums, 10k worth DVDs blah blah blah... They are good at giving ultra superb ideas on how to be expensive but they dont care helping. At last parents spend minimum of 8-10 lakhs for the marriage.

After the marriage, guy and gal will spend 70% of the salary to repay the loan they borrowed from the bank. 70% of their time they spend fighting. They never care to see the DVD or the photo album worth 30k. They curse the day they got married. Parents see their 10lakhs rupees going in vain.

Now, where are these so-called-relatives? They just vanish. Gone. Kaput. They were in front to give comments, to talk against love marriage, to tell them how to show-off during marriage, to eat a lot.

What's the verdict? Promote love marriage. Khe khe khe... Marry someone you love, not the ones your parents or your love. Dont spend money for marriage. Do register-marriage :P Anyway, you are gonna blame that day. So why spending money for it? Dont expect anythin from your relatives.

how much do you weigh?

There is a common misconception that the level of fat in your body decides how good you are. I thought this was mainly among elders. But it is not. I, very recently, happened to talk to a friend of mine whose marriage got fixed. For fun sake, I teased her saying my aim was to get married before her. The very next question was 'Did you become fat? And my answer was a 'NO'. I never happened to climb the chasm of 'Under-Weight'. khe khe khe...

'Fat are good people. Thin are cunning' She yelled. I wont blame her. I guess she never saw her 'full body' in the mirror. I think no mirror will help her, no matter how big. khe khe khe...

Okay. This post is not about teasing fat people. But to say that there are good-thin-people also. Maybe I'm not one of them ;) Never judge a person sizing them up. Just like 'Dont judge a book by its cover' :D

PS: Perhaps this post will help me find a better girl. khe khe khe... :D

piECe oF pApEr sCrUtiNy...

i resigned from my current company! Still the date is not confirmed. i'm not done struggling. Not yet!

i wanted to get relieved from my company ASAP. i talked to my managers and they simply said it is NOT possible. i was out of my mind those days. At last, they informed my last working day would be Dec 07 2009! My parents were worried too for the tension i was suffering. I dint wanna tell my parents a specific date as such cuz Dec 07 2009 was a tentative one.

My parents do believe in God and so they do believe in Horoscope / Star also. They took my horoscope to an astrologer. They might have said something. One day at night, Dad called me and told this to me. He said till Dec 7th i'm having a very bad time. i was like - WHAT?!' i told dad tat dec 7th will be my last working day.

i dono how to express my surprise in words. i dono if the piece of paper can be believed or not, but i was stunned. I'm not here to say that i became a strong believer of horoscope n i want you people also to believe it. I'm writing this post cuz i'm frightened. Whateva happened or whateva tats gonna happen (at least till Dec 7th) in my life is 80% accurate as written in tat paper.

The reason i'm panicking is, it is again written in my horoscope that i would (most likely) die at the age of 28 n if i survive that, i would live 79 years! I'm 25 now n i don mind dying at 28 rather than living till 79. khe khe khe... :P

PS: That wasnt funny. I started takin it seriously n i dono..if i need to believe it or not! :O

iT rAiNs wHeN i dOnT tAkE mY uMbReLLa...

It was kinda-heavily raining in some parts of Chennai for the past two days. Unfortunately, i stay in one of those 'some parts'.

Luck plays, as it always does, a very strange game with me. everyday morning before i start to offis, i take my umbrella assuming it would definitely rain. But it always doesn't rain when i take my umbrella.

Yesterday i dint take my umbrella for the climate was pleasant. At night, i was on the way back home from offis and i was carryin my offer-letter also. Suddenly it started raining and i panicked cuz i dint wanna see my offer-letter drenched. i got inside a shop. i somehow wanted to escape the rain. my two hands were engaged too. i started searchin for 'tools' which would help me n luckily i remembered my hanky. i sighed with relief. i took my hanky out and with great relief carefully covered my mobile and started walking in the rain. khe khe khe... :D

i dint care about my offer letter or anything for that matter. i always used to wonder why people are like this. i always valued wat i had in my hand or pocket or in my bag than myself. i dint care of 'me' gettin drenched but my mobile. This is not the first time. Even i hav noticed myself pulling up my sleeves when i go to a hotel to hav food. i dont bother my hands getting dirt than my shirt. Are all people like this or just me? i still wonder...

Silas's soul thundered with remorse and rage. "Father, if it takes my lifetime, I will find the one who deceived us, and I will kill him."

Aringarosa shook his head, looking sad as they prepared to wheel him away. "Silas... if you have learned nothing from me, please... learn this." He took Silas's hand and gave it a firm squeeze. "Forgiveness is God's greatest gift."

PS: You all might know that this is a passage from Dan Brown's 'The Da Vinci Code'. i liked this very much n so i wanted to share. Thats a message, for all of us!

i'M hApPy...

[Pre-Script: inspired by a true story! khe khe khe...BTW, You may come across some Malayalam words. But don worry i hav given their translations also, in 'brackets']

I had a friend, Ritesh, who used to stay with his uncle then. His uncle was a drunkard. There was no time we could see him on two-legs. khe khe khe...

On a weekend, we wanted to call Ritesh at night and dialed his number. Unfortunately he was not available but his uncle answered the phone. for obvious reason, he was 'drunk'!
'HAALLLOOO' Uncle shouted!
'Hello, Can i talk to Ritesh' my friend said, havin no choice
'Aaraa?' he said in Malayalam. ('Aara' means 'Who')
'Njan Happy-ya' he said. (I'm Happy)
'Ritesh evide illaa. pinne vilikkuu..okaaayy' he cut the call having said that. (Ritesh is not here. Call later)

The next day morning, luckily when the uncle was on his 'two legs', he vaguely remembered somebody had called yesterday.
'Ritesh, ninakku ariyuo?' he mumbled. (You know what?)
'Innale aaro enne vilichu. Enittu parayuva avan Happy aanennu. hehehe... athinu avan happy anengil njan enthu venam?' he laughed out loud! (Yesterday someone phoned me n said he is happy. what should i do if he is happy?)

khe khe khe...
Hearing that Ritesh too couldn't stop his laughter. His uncle never knew his friend's 'name' was 'Happy'.

OpPoSiTe PoLeS aTtRaCt... (^_^)

i have been thinkin this since when i was in 10th std. i dono is this somethin like a Thumb-rule which has to be followed or rule-of-nature kinda. i have seen lot of lovers since my childhood. In all the cases at least the gal will be so looking good or the boy will be very handsome. Not even once i have seen where both of them are lookin good. i dono y this is happenin.

The bitter truth is - All Beautiful Gals have Not-So-Good-Lookin Boyfriend and All Handsome Guys have Not-So-Good-Lookin Girlfriend. Why? i'm not tryin to say that the guy or gal is not good at their heart. They might be, but their looks are poles apart. Outa 100, 98 of them r like this :D

So, What i'm tryin to say is, i feel very happy (and lucky, ofcoz) for one day i ll also get a Beautiful-Girl-Friend! khe khe khe...

oN aNd On AnD oN...

when i was in school, i wanted to join college.
when i was in college, i wanted to find a job.
when i found a job, i wanted to quit and find another job.
when i found another job, i wanted more money.
when i earned more money, i wanted to get married.
when i got married, i wanted a kid.
when i got a kids, my expenses grew.
when i controlled my expenses, 'he' reached the age to go to school.
when he joined school, i wanted him to join college.
when he joined college, i wanted him to get a job soon, so that he could take some of my responsibilities.
when he got a job, he wanted more money.
when he earned more money, he wanted to get married to the gal he loved.
and on and on and on...
but
where did all my money go?
for whom was i livin for?
all i earned, i spent for the one i loved.

is this life?

PS: This is, for sure, not from my experience. I'm not married and so i got no wife n kids...but still, where is my money? :D

i dO nOt muLTitASk..

People who multitask the most are the ones who are worst at it. They are easily distracted and less able to ignore irrelevant information than people who do less multitaskin. But the funny fact is the folks who are worst at multitasking are the ones doin it the most.

Is multitaskin causing them to be lousy at multitaskin, or is their lousiness at multitaskin causin them to be multitaskers? Khe khe khe...

But there is a science behind it and this is why lawyers or advertisers try to use irrelevant info to distract people to influence their decisions. And also multitaskin has already been blamed in some places for car-crashes, for the use of cell phones while driving..

BTW, i don multitask. Geniuses DON'T! :P

mEaN wHeN yOu sAy iT...

I'm really Sorry!
Hey, i love you!
Thank you, dude!

We r very familiar with these words... we use it very often everyday. These can sometimes be called as fillers... to complete our sentence... yes, i usually do it.
i hardly get some work at offis...n when i do get, they squeeze the hell outa me. :| When they assign me some work, i used to say 'Thank You' without any hesitation n i don even mean a word when i say it. i usually curse them in my mind, to be very frank.

But these words can do wonders..i tell u..

i'll tel u a very small incident happened in my offis 2day. i went for lunch very soon 2day as there was some meeting that was supposed to happen in the cafeteria. i took my lunch n i was waitin for my frnds who used to accompany me.
we were havin food in a hurry...cuz we had to leave the cafe for the meeting.
SPLAASHH!!
i could see some beautiful design on my frnd's dress... some guy who was carryin his food to his place accidentally spilled it over my frnd's dress. He said sorry n left the scene. It took quite some time to wash it off. But the way she was treated when we went back was different from what we expected. They were kinda tryin to pullin her legs...it was a very embarrassin situation..

Was he really sorry for her?? Did he really mean when he said sorry??

when i say 'Sorry', 75% of the time, i DON'T mean it... khe khe khe...

mAgIc eYe...

i dono if anyone knows abt this Magic Eye thingy! but this is really interesting. I knew this 3D image technique long back, but only a few days back, while readin one of my frnd's blog (Americanising Desi), i got to know the name - Magic Eye!

i did search on this n i got some interesting picz.. i dono if everyone could see the 3D image. As Desi said, look beneath the surface... ;)

Just a note Desi: i'm not tryin to copy-paste from urs... but u know, i jus wanted to let my frnds know abt this... Hope u don mind! :D

If you would like to hav a look at the same, here it goes...
